“A Roman Holiday in the City of Angels”
Discover what our sister climate on the Mediterranean Sea can teach us about the potential of our own gardens and farmers’ markets.
In addition to limoncello, the classic lemon liqueur from Sorrento, we will make an amaro in the style of Campari, rosemary simple syrup, the lime, almond and clove mixer known as falernum, and a naturally fermented and fizzy rosemary-lemon soda. Examples of previously made versions will guide you as you create your own.
You will be provided with all the ingredients (alcohol excluded – see policy), materials, and equipment needed, and you’ll go home with everything required to finish each project in elegant glass bottles with custom labels. We will end the class by looking at a cocktail recipe that utilizes our work, and also considering possible food pairings.
You will need to bring:
- 750ml of 100 proof vodka (such as Smirnoff No. 57 Blue Label or Absolut 100)
- 100ml of over 100 proof white rum (such as Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum)
